Our behavior technicians work in special education classes in schools. Sessions can be one on one or in a school group setting, depending upon the needs of the students.

An individual with Autism Spectrum Disorder, for example, may require more one on one assistance to help them focus on a task at school while others may thrive working with a group.

The behavior technician works to provide individuals with coping skills when they are having a behavior issue, to help find techniques to deal with transitions throughout the school day or to assist these individuals with their concentration skills on various tasks.

There could be various triggers that cause problematic behavior, and an interventionist is trained to identify these triggers and either help avoid them or work with the individual to get through the behavior.
