The pandemic has been causing a lot of challenges in education this year. Originally it was said that general education students could cope quickly with the new set-up, whether virtual or hybrid, and that the special education department might face special challenges. Even though we have new guidelines set for different scenarios and states, lets here are some of the experiences shared by Special Ed Teachers in the state of Arizona.
“Special education teachers all over the state had their work cut out for them when the COVID-19 pandemic cut the school year short. But many were able to make the necessary adjustments to continue with student learning. And they’re eager to have students return to classrooms in the coming year, though the ongoing uncertainty in planning is stressful. Teachers need clear direction and protocols for both distance and in-person learning.” – Expect More Arizona
