Have you played “bingo” before?

You know that game of chance in which each player matches numbers in pre-printed in different arrangements on 5×5 cards.  The numbers which the game host draws at random, marking the selected numbers with tiles.  And when you’re the lucky one who finds the drawn numbers arranged on your card in a row, with the adrenaline rush, you will loudly shout – “BINGO!!!”

Bingo is undoubtedly one of the most entertaining, fun, and exciting games to play!

But what if those numbers were replaced by random unfortunate circumstances beyond your control? Just like the picture on the left (School Psychologist Bad Day Bingo). And one by one, they are happening to you at different times of the day.  And before you even know it, you hit the BINGO feeling tired, exhausted, and stressed-out!

When it comes to stress School Psychologists were not exempted! With all those crises they are dealing with, meetings, kids, teachers, writing IEP, assessment, and evaluation, not to mention the rush of the upcoming holiday season.

We know that School Psychologists are trained to provide supportive services to all members of the school community, including students and adults.  But who do they go to when they are in need of support and are stress-out?

How about some love and help from different School Psychologist bloggers who experience the same?

One of the readers of “Musings of an Urban School Psychologist” asked, “What do you do to de-stress during your day when you feel like you are going crazy?”

Her tips in these articles are helpful that you can probably relate to and start to follow!

And if that stress of yours takes a toll on your good night sleep Psychcentral shared an interesting article written by Melody Wilding, LMSW.

While you are busy supporting others, please never forget to also take care of yourself! We cannot imagine schools without Psychologists to save the day!
